Magee Preserve | Yes on y - Danville, California

Land Use Strategies assisted local builder Davidon Homes in getting their Magee Preserve development unanimously approved by the Danville Town Council, and also with defeating a referendum (Measure Y) of the project’s approval by opponents. The residential development includes 69 single family homes built on 29 acres of the 410 acre property.

Our team’s grassroots organizing efforts helped to secure support and endorsements from a diverse set of stakeholders including Save Mount Diablo, Bike East Bay, Mount Diablo Cyclists, Valley Spokesman Bicycle Club, East Bay Regional Parks District, Zae Perrin the President & CEO of the Danville Chamber of Commerce, and the entire Danville Town Council.

We organized several events on the Magee family’s property, providing key opportunities to invite the broader community to tour the property and proposed project site firsthand, provide information and answer questions, and to build relationships.

Land Use Strategies built and managed the campaign website. Over the course of two years that our team was engaged with the project, we redesigned and rebranded the multi-level website several times. We managed the online collection of supporters for the project and the campaign database.
